Missouri Banking Laws and Regulations

The primary State laws relating to banks and trust companies are found in Chapter 362 RSMo (click here to see a summary of year 2007 banking legislation, including amendments to Chapter 362 RSMo, which were generally effective August 28, 2007). Regulations issued by the Division of Finance are in State Regulation 20 CSR 1140.  Additional trust laws are found in Chapter 456 RSMo and Chapter 469 RSMo.  There are numerous other State laws, at least portions of which apply to certain bank operations.  The following links provide entire or partial chapters, as appropriate.
